In the final episode of Planet Earth II, naturalist David Attenborough can be seen making an emotional plea to viewers from the top of the Shard in London. He urges us to try to maintain a connection with the natural world, and find a way for humans and animals to coexist without causing further damage to the planet. Planet Earth II has been something of a surprise ratings hit, with some of the most memorable TV sequences of the year so far. It is widely speculated that this will be David Attenborough's last series, as he is now 90 years old. As much as we'd love to see more from him, he definitely deserves to put his feet up for a bit. Travelling all over the world to exotic locations must be pretty tiring. Thank you David!
