Ghana’s World Cup dream all but finished after scandalous offside decision

Ghana needed a victory in their World Cup qualifier against Uganda on Saturday to have any real chance of qualifying for the finals in Russia next summer.

Luckily, Raphael Dwamena scored in the fourth minute of injury time.

Unluckily, he was the victim of a truly terrible offside decision and the goal was chalked off.

Ghana's hopes of reaching the 2018 World Cup are virtually over after their late winner against Uganda was controversially ruled out.

Ghana’s heartbreak could be confirmed later on Saturday when Egypt take on Congo.

Egypt need only one point from their final two games to reach the finals, and ensure Ghana miss out for the first time since 2002.
